Knightmare on the Chessboard  

An all-ages, USCF-rated qualifier for the OSCF state championship in Seaside.

Cost: $10 entry fee, $5 for lunch. Cash paid on site.

Requirements:  USCF Membership is required.  Memberships are typically $20 for players 21 and younger, but discounted $10 membership are available from our partners at Rose City Chess. 

Format: Four rounds, 25min + 5sec increment.  Individual-based competition.
Sections: Primary (K-3), Elementary (K-5), Middle (K-8), Advanced (High schoolers + adults).   More advanced students at lower grades may choose to play in a higher section. 

Awards:  Engraved medals awarded to top 10 in each scholastic section. Cash prize for Advanced/Open section based on number of entries!

2:30-3 Awards Ceremony

Location:  WSHS Library. Enter at the front of the building.

Food: Snacks and $5 pizza lunch available on site.
