Albany K-12 Team Tournament

A 2023 OSCF State Championship Qualifier

Location: Memorial Middle School, 1050 SW Queen Ave, Albany, OR 97321

REGISTRATION: Please email phil@corvallischess.org by Thurs, Mar 7.
- Provide first & last name, school, grade, and USCF ID.  

- New USCF ID's available at check-in, included in the cost of the tournament. 

Check-in on Saturday morning from 8:00 - 9:00 am, with Game 1 starting at 9:30 am.  

Cost: $10 per player.  (cash or check only) 

Optional $5 pizza lunch, pre-paid at check-in. 

Sections: K-5, K-8, and K-12.  

- Players can play in higher sections based on skill level. 

Rules: 4 rounds Swiss pairing.  Game in 25 mins per side.  USCF Rated. 

- Team score = the sum of scores for the top 5 players.

- There is no limit to the number of players representing a school.  Can be 1 player. 

- Teams must have at least 1 non-male player to qualify for a trophy. 

Prizes:

– Trophies for top 2 teams in each section 

– Medals for top finishers in each section

FAQs: 

-  When will we be done?  Hopefully by 2 or 2:30pm.  

-  Is there internet at the school?  Yes. 

-  Will there be coffee and dirt-cheap concessions?  Yes.

-  Will there be a MMS garden club plant sale in the lobby also?  Yes.
