Oregon scholastic chess community – Puddletown Chess is very excited for their upcoming Anniversary Chess Festival on Saturday, September 30th!! They have some exciting updates for you about this festival.

1. Here are the beautiful trophies and medals, which will be awarded to the top players in each category (including medals for both plus-scores and even-scores). Additionally, there’s a special trophy for the best female player.

2. Every registered player will receive a customized hardcover 100 game chess notation book. As you all know, Puddletown team are big fans of notating games for players at every level. Chess notation allows players to record their games, making it possible to review and analyze them later. This post-game analysis helps players identify mistakes, missed opportunities, and areas for improvement.

3. Like at their last Spring Festival, they have tons of raffles and door prizes! Each registered player gets a raffle ticket, and additional tickets can be purchased on-site. Some of the confirmed prizes are:
