Hello all as the 2023 OSCF State championship arena is heating up, Puddletown is proud to share another opportunity for you to compete and qualify for that largest scholastic chess event this year!

- USCF-Rated Chess Tournament, 2023 OSCF State Champion qualifier.
- Format: Quads, play players with similar ratings/strength
- Date: April 2nd, 2023 (Sunday)
- Time: 2:30pm-6pm
- Place: Godfather’s Pizza (11140 SW Barnes Rd, Portland, OR 97225)
- Rounds: 3
- Time Control: G25+5 (each player has 25 minutes with 5-second increment for each move)
- Prize: 1st place for each quad gets a trophy or Puddletown T-shirt or tournament chess board
- Entry fee: $25, Paypal: puddletownchess@gmail.com . Please put the player’s FULL name and USCF ID (if any) in the Paypal note.
- Free Entry : Tartberry Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt proudly supports us with 4 scholarships (free entries) each month for girls and low-income children. The first eligible four registered will get free entry.
- Girl players: $15 ONLY if not a part of the first four scholarship recipients
- Preregistration only, no on-site registration
- Free game analysis with WIM Zoey and top Oregon scholastic players Ishaan & Austin
- Free pizza for players
- Our April quad will also be sponsored by ChessKid. 3 one-year-long gold memberships will be raffled (each player will receive 1 raffle ticket at check-in)
