The upcoming Lincoln High K-12 Chess Tournament registration deadline is only less than a week away. To get the early registration discount price, be sure to register before December 4th, 2013. Also this is a 100% pre-registered tournament, there will be no on-site registration. On-line registration must complete by Dec 4th to get early discount price of $25 per player, and on Dec 5th for late registration fee of $35 per player.

Many prizes will be awarded. Elite section will be OSCF and USCF dual-rated and cash prizes will be awarded in the Elite section. In the Advanced, Intermediate and Novice sections, trophies will be awarded to the top 3 individual players and medals will be awarded to plus scorers for each section. For those who already registered, it is essential that you do the following to ensure the tournament day check-in process as smooth and fast as possible so we can start and end the tournament on schedule:
1. If you haven’t mail your payment yet, please do so as soon as possible to ensure we receive your check by next Wednesday. This is the recommended payment method and can speed-up the check-in process on tournament.
Please write “Lincoln Chess Club, player first and last name” in legible handwriting on the memo portion of the check. Make check payable to Lincoln High School. And mail check to the following address:

2. If you can not do #1 above, you can pay at the door (not recommended since that will slow down the check-in process). If you do so, please have check ready with “Lincoln Chess Club” and player first and last name in legible writing on memo portion of the check. If you want to pay cash, please be prepared to give exact change of $25 to help speed up and ease the check-in process.
3. Bring chess board and chess clock with you on tournament day if you have them.
4. Arrive on time on tournament day.
