Format: Players will be divided in 4 player sections (quads) by NWSRS/USCF rating. Any section where ALL players have current USCF membership will be dual rated (USCF and NWSRS)
Schedule: Check-In: 14:20-14:25; play will start at 14:30. Each quad will operate on its own schedule; games will be started as soon as possible. Quads involving younger players are expected to finish well in advance of those involving older, more experienced players. Awards for each section will be made as soon as that section is completed.
Notation: Players are encouraged to notate.
Time Control: G25/5 for time delay clocks; G/30 for analog and non-delay digital clocks. Please bring your clock, if you have one.
Tiebreakers: Ties will be broken in this order: direct encounter, lower starting rating, highest number of games played with black pieces, younger age, coin flip.
Entry fee: $20.00 per player/Two or more siblings $17 per player.
Eligibility: All scholastic players, K-12. The tournament is limited to the first 12 players (3 quads) who preregister.

Chess Tournament at LaVerne County Park, Saturday, June 9th (OSCF Qualifier). All ages, especially adults are invited to play. No Bobby Fishers allowed as lighting, temperature and weather cannot be controlled. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Green Shelter. Fee is $5.00. There will be a potluck lunch where hot dogs will be provided. Play five rounds, no elimination with prizes being outdoor toys. Have fun in the river, play badminton, horseshoes and bring squirt guns for wet fun between rounds. Will be held rain or shine. Feel free to camp at the nearby campground for extra fun.
